KnitHappens is a charity knitting group in Alamosa, Colorado. Knitters (and crocheters!) meet the first Wednesday of the month, from 5:30-7:30 pm at Hospice del Valle's Community Room, 514 Main Street in Alamosa. There are no dues, and all are welcome.

Members work on projects to be distributed to local and world-wide organizations. KnitHappens acts as a resource to provide information on groups seeking donated items, free patterns for charity knitting projects, and a list of internet resources for free patterns and affordable yarn sources. Small projects are available and the group encourages new knitters to  come and develop their skills (assistance always gladly provided!).

Donations of yarn and handmade items will be accepted at Hospice del Valle, KRZA radio, and the Southern Peaks Library in Alamosa.
